After working for over 10 years in sport, I decided to move my focus from calling for media coverage to doing the reporting. Earning a bachelors degree in Kinesiology from the University of Westen Ontario in 1999, I’ve honed my skills as a sports administrator in cycling, gymnastics, and speedskating, coached college and university volleyball for 15 years and done a little work as a certified personal trainer as well.
Now its my chance to give exposure to those sports and activities that don’t always makeit to the front of the sports page. On this blog you’ll find articles that I’ve done on some of Peterborough’s most interesting and lesser know sports in the area. Hockey might reigh supreme in this town, but don’t disregard the rich sport mosaic that this community provides.
Career highlights: my degree, the 2000 Canadian cycling championships, trying out a pair of clap skates, and fulfilling my childhood dream of becoming a journalist, just to name a few.
Thank you for taking a walk on my scene. I hope you enjoy what you find here.
